Renewable energy roadmap

Tuesday 25th September 2007 - The European Parliament will vote today on a report from the Industry Research and Energy committee on a roadmap for renewable energy.

As the author of the views of the International Trade committee I have put forward proposals that I hope will be supported by the Parliament.

By 2030, renewable energy could provide 35% of the world's energy needs. To achieve this

Exhibition tour!

Wednesday 19th September 2007 - Among another busy day's activities at the Party conference in Brighton today I managed to fit in a tour of the exhibition and visit many of the varied stands with Baroness Diane Maddock and Charles Kennedy MP.
I won't reveal my vote for the best stand on here but it was a tough decision with so many good and creative ways of capturing the delegates attention!

By-elections are like buses...........

Sunday 9th September 2007 - By-elections appear to be like buses at the moment in the North West, coming along in threes!! There are currently contests for vacant seats being fought in Warbreck ward in Liverpool following the sad loss of Joan Lang as well as in Rossendale and Cheshire.
