Friday 19th October 2007 - As Chair of the European Parliament's Friends of Pakistan group, I felt compelled to add my thoughts here about the atrocities in Karachi following the return to Pakistan of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
I totally and utterly condemn the bombs that have caused such devastation and loss of innocent lives in Karachi.
We must never allow terrorists and extremists

Mid Term review
Tuesday 9th October 2007 - Today I presented my draft opinion on the Mid Term Review of the EU's Environment Action Plan, my fourth opinion for the international trade committee this mandate and my third opinion this year related to international trade and the environment, so I think it's safe to say that I'm becoming a bit of an expert on the topic.

Exhibition tour!
Wednesday 19th September 2007 - Among another busy day's activities at the Party conference in Brighton today I managed to fit in a tour of the exhibition and visit many of the varied stands with Baroness Diane Maddock and Charles Kennedy MP.
I won't reveal my vote for the best stand on here but it was a tough decision with so many good and creative ways of capturing the delegates attention!

Trade & Climate Change fringe
Tuesday 18th September 2007 - I am at our Party conference in Brighton this week where the mood among delegates is upbeat and enthusiastic despite the constant media obsession with Ming Campbell's leadership.
I am at a loss to understand why they are not more
